Step 1 - drop the pan and remove all fluid and replace the filter. Step 2 - replace the fluid in the pan. Step 3 - look under the Jeep, passanger side and follow the lines going to the oil cooler. Find the block where the 4 lines go into it and remove the thermostat from the bottom of it. Replace the drain plug and torque to 36 foot pounds. Replace the splash guard. Drop your front end, remove the air box and the intake hose. The 17 mm fill plug is just below and to the left of the fuse box. Add the appropriate amount and type of transmission fluid. Replace the fill plug and torque to 36 foot pounds.
