24.6k. Posted November 28, 2017. I would say 'prime time' in NA is somewhere around (start) 0-3 hours after Daily reset to (end) 3-6 hours after Daily reset. No idea what or why 3am. Of course, I guess that (3am) depends on where you are located.
12.1k. Posted June 21, 2018. Yes you can change if you want to. On the character select screen there's a button in the bottom left corner which says World Selection. That brings up a list of all the servers in your region, and there's a drop-down box in the top right corner to switch to the other region.
When you enter a map, you will not play on a "megaserver map" but on one of the many maps that has been populated with people from the megaserver - but not random people. If you are in a group, you will most likely end up on the same map instance as your groupmates, if in a guild you will end up in a map where others of your guild already are.

Regional pricing is not a thing, because then enyone could log in via VPN to the cheapest region and buy the game for next to nothing. ArenaNet does not control asian releases. They only control europe and america. Asia is controled by NCsoft. And Asian version of GW2 is straight up p2w.
